Today students saw specific heat and heat capacity in action! This is almost all of the equipment it took to perform this lab.Students used a calorimeter to measure how much the temperature of a metal changed over time and measured how much the added metal changed the temperature of water. By doing this, students can see how metal heats up quickly and water takes a long time to cool down. They had to do a crazy calculation to figure out the specific heat.
Students have a test on Unit 1.5 on Friday and all work is due at that time!
