Marshmallow Friday by Taylor K

This is an experiment dealing with physical and chemical properties & changes. We have Lucy (marshmallow on left) & Charlie (marshmallow on right) we recorded their physical properties in their original state, then placed them in the microwave for 1 minute and examined physical & chemical changes that take place.

I liked how when we put them in the microwave they blew up like a balloon. It was really amusing. Ha ha. And the whole room smelled like marshmallows! Yay for marshmallows! :) The marshmallow could fit into the category of a solid and a gas. Solid because it kept it's shape and gas because it got really huge in the microwave like a bubble.

This was a pretty fun day. I really like how we do a lot of labs in this class. I feel like i learn a lot better this way than with just straight up lecture.
